Franklin Rausky is founding Dean of the Elie Wiesel Institute of Jewish Studies. Previously, he served as Director of Doctoral Research (psychopathology and psychoanalysis) at the University of Paris VII Denis Diderot. He is also a Lecturer in clinical psychology at the University of Strasbourg. He is the author of Mesmer or the therapeutic revolution (1978); Biblical Violence (2013); and The Samson Complex: Suicidal Figure from Biblical Antiquity (forthcoming), and Co-author of collective works on hypnosis, psychology, history of medicine and human sciences. He has also been Co-director of: Dictionary of Psychology and Psychopathology of Religions (2013) and Rethinking Otherness (2013).
